Need to calm down your mind? Been over thinking? Meditation is the key to sort out every shit that has been piling up in your head. But how to start? Here’s are some easy guidelines explained in 7 steps.
It took me ages to make it past stage 5, but I’m sure you can focus better than me!
1. SIT DOWN COMFORTABLY
2. CLOSE YOUR EYES
3. FOCUS ON YOUR BREATHING
BREATHE ONLY WHEN YOU NEED TO –> RESULT: LONG & DEEP INHALING
4. ACKNOWLEDGE EVERY THOUGHT AS A MERE “THOUGHT”
… AND THEN LET IT PASS ON. DO NOT JUDGE YOUR THOUGHTS IN ANY WAY.
5. FOCUS ON YOUR BREATHING
6. BECOME A UNIT WITH THE SURROUNDINGS
THOUGHTS PASS (!) YOUR MIND UNJUDGED AND OBJECTIVE.
7. REACH THE STATE “TO BE”
Alright! You’re set! When you breathe, make sure to breathe into your stomach. This means your stomach goes out whilst you breathe in and goes back in when you exhale. Maintain a good posture and keep your back straight. The rest will flow naturally once you’ve started.
In case you are really angry and need some meditation to calm you down, slowly say “Fuuuuuuuck thaaaaaaaat” while breathing out. Trust me it’s working. I found a great video to start out with.
